OUR PEDAGOGICAL PROJECT
Montessori School in Geneva: Bilingual Education for Children Aged 3-12
Our Montessori school in Geneva is committed to implementing Montessori pedagogy for children aged 3 to 12 in an open, flexible way, adapted to the habits and needs of the modern world. We respect the core principles and philosophy of Montessori education while integrating them into contemporary practices.
Student Well-Being and Personalized Learning Approach
Our primary goal is the well-being and individual development of each student. We focus on fostering independent learners who can thrive in any educational environment. By respecting each child’s needs and interests, we ensure a smooth integration into the educational system after they leave our school, whether locally or internationally.
Bilingual Education in French and English
Located in a Romand canton, our school prioritizes the initiation of reading and writing in French from the age of 4. English is taught orally from the age of 3, focusing on listening and speaking skills. From ages 3 to 6, the classroom environment is fully bilingual, with English used primarily for comprehension and expression. This immersive approach ensures that students are exposed to both languages throughout their school day.

Montessori School in Geneva: Comprehensive Education for Children Aged 3-12
At our Montessori school in Geneva, we provide a well-rounded education that goes beyond traditional classroom learning, ensuring every child’s growth and development in a nurturing environment.
English Learning in Upper Elementary (Ages 6+)
From the age of 6, in Upper Elementary, English is taught through small group lessons, tailored to each student's level and abilities. Reading and writing in English begin at this stage, and students can follow the PER (Programme d’Etudes Romand) curriculum, ensuring a strong foundation for future language proficiency.
Physical Education and Motor Skills Development
As part of our holistic educational approach, we emphasize physical education and motor skills development from the age of 3. Children engage in sports activities and motor skills exercises, supervised by professionals, in alignment with Montessori principles, fostering physical coordination and health.
Outdoor Education and Environmental Awareness
We are passionate about outdoor education and its role in child development. Through various activities organized throughout the year, students connect with nature and the environment. These activities are led by teachers and also in partnership with local organizations like the Ferme de Budé (near the school) and the Association “J’aime ma planète”. Regular workshops complement the curriculum, providing students with hands-on learning experiences.
Artistic Expression and Music Education
Our educational project values artistic expression and music education. Students participate in concerts and artistic events selected annually by teachers and students, enriching their emotional and creative development. Additionally, we offer a musical awakening program as part of our After-school care activities. Montessori music materials, such as bells, are provided in preparatory classes to help students learn sounds and music concepts.
